An increasingly popular area in the
Ravenswood neighborhood of
Lincoln Square is seeing a lot of building activity. It has become very common again to see new high-end construction and major gut rehabs around the blocks surrounding
Winnemac Park (between
West Lawrence to West Foster and North Damen to North Western). Here's an example from my recent walk around the neighborhood on a balmy winter day with our youngest son Stanley.

Not shown is
4919 N Leavitt. That property was recently
bought by a developer in January for $345,000 cash and is already undergoing a gut rehab. My guess is it will be for retail sale.
