Gut job! Busy Lincoln Square Starbucks to get full renovation

The busy, busy Starbucks next to Old Town School of Folk Music in Lincoln Square is closed for major renovation.  I stopped by today to work between appointments... lo and behold it is gutted to the studs!

I have not checked around on the ETA but these "Starbucks re-dos" usually go pretty quick (unlike any major renovation we've ever done at our homes).  Many Starbucks and other chains are re-investing in their existing stores. It's one more example of the truly amazing commercial development we've seen over the past two years around the North Side and downtown.

Call me a cynical Chicagoan but furniture out on the sidewalk usually means an eviction.  Whaaa, whaaaa.
