Andersonville is more popular than ever. The diversity, shops, restaurants and terrific summer fests combine with new and vintage construction residential condos. Condo prices have been fairly consistent during the ups and downs of the Chicago over-all market. Here's a look at first quarter condo sales in 2015 for "greater" Andersonville.
Andersonville Condo Sale Jan 1st-March 31st, 2015
32 condo units have closed in the first quarter 2015, up 60% from same period 2014. The median price for attached unit is about $275,000. Only 20 units had closed in first quarter 2014 with a median price of $245,000.
The highest sold condo in the first quarter is 1701 W Foster #3W at $530,000 for a three bedroom, three bathroom duplex-up built in 2006. The high prices for units on busy Foster can be attributed to Andersonville. The lowest sold unit went for $73,500 at 1238.5 W Carmen #1N. Not sure what the ".5" is, but the all cash foreclosure one bedroom is a nice deal located close to the Argyle Red Line stop.
