The colorful Costello space is close to having a new restaurant. I met the new lease holders at the vacant Lincoln Square retail space at
4647 N Lincoln Avenue this morning. The really friendly couple told me they have several restaurants in Italy but this would be their first in Chicago. "Hand made pastas" would be featured. With luck they can open in a few months.
I'm excited to quench the Italian food desert along Lincoln Ave with the recent closings of
La Bocca della Verita and
Trattoria Trullo (
Due Lire down the road a bit notwithstanding).
